Procession & Shopping Tour
March 14 to 22, 2013

This 9-day tour begins in the colonial city La Antigua, a Unesco World Heritage Site. A Sunday procession, featuring magnificent sawdust carpets highlights this special adventure. The tour continues to the market town, Chichicastenango. Later, we will spend three days touring the villages surrounding Lake Atitlan in the Western Highlands.

Through out the tour, we will visit women's cooperatives, where the historic craft traditions of beading, weaving and ornate embroidery have been revived as new revenue sources for families and communitiMany of our experiences will not be on traditional tour paths. We will travel by foot, pick-up, tuk-tuk, boat and bus, learning about Mayan village culture and traditional arts.

Price Includes:
    - All lodging (based on double occupancy;
        single surcharge of $300 if we cannot pair you up)
    - Shuttle and Boat Transfers
        (to/from Guatemala airport and within country)

Rest of payment in full will need to also arrive no later than Saturday, February 1st, 2013
Signed Liability Release will need to accompany your final payment.
Cancellation Policy -  prior to February 1, your $150 Deposit will be contributed to our “Philanthropic Funds,” No refunds after Friday December 1, 2012…but you may re-sell your space, consulting our “waiting list,”…with approval from your roommate. Travel  Insurance mandatory.
